I'm not Italian anymore...
So I have always told people that I am Italian. Not true, apparently.
I have been building a family tree on Ancestry.com and have recently been put in touch with a cousin of mine who has done quite a bit of research on our family. I found out today that my great-great-great grandfather came to the US from Barcelona, Spain and married a woman who was a French/Spanish mix. So apparently I am mostly Spanish and little bit of French. (I am also Acadian, Swedish, English, Scot-Irish, a touch of Swiss and a dash of American Indian.) Wow. And that's just from my Dad's side, I wonder what I'll find out about my Mom's family....
I have found out quite a bit about my family so far, it has been fun!
