Why do you think teenagers are involved in more car crashes than any other age group?

Because they are irresponsible and goof around when they have friends in the car with them.
Silly teenagers.
Do you have any stereotypical Type-A personalities in your life? How does that affect you?
I used to be Type A. My Type-A characteristics came in very handy when managing 10 tellers in a very busy bank. I work really fast, while still doing the job well. I can multitask like crazy. I certainly was very impatient with my tellers though. I wasn't always the nicest boss. Working at the bank helped me to become a Type AB personality. I am so not a Type B personality, but I have definitely learned to be more patient and less anal.
Sometimes my tellers hated me, but when I learned how to be a better boss as far as rewarding good behavior and things like that, they loved me! :) When I left the bank to move to Washington, we all went out to dinner and they had made me this photo album thing with pictures of them and me, it was very touching. I have it in my memory box. :)
My father-in-law is a major Type A personality, that really affected our relationship when I was dating my husband. I would butt heads with him a lot. He still is Type A, but we have a much better relationship now. :)
I think my mom is also Type A, but she is really good at balancing the bad characteristics with the good. That is probably where I got it from ;)

Yesterday was the summer solstice for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere. How did you celebrate the arrival of summer and the longest day of the year?
We had a Chinese food potluck at work. At home, Jon and I ate the leftovers from said potluck for dinner and watched the first two episodes of The Mole online. I think that show has an interesting concept, but it is a little ridiculous. We rolled our eyes at most the show, we watched the second episode to give it a fair chance, but I don't think I will be watching any more of it. All the times when they contestants do the little interview things, it just seems to scripted. No me gusta The Mole.
We did not really do a summer solstice celebration, although I might go down to the Fremont Fair tomorrow to check it out. Fremont is the hippiest city is Seattle. I like it, Jon does not, which is why I might go by myself while he is at work. I do have more to do around the house though, so I also might just stay home and clean. fun.
If you had to go on a two-week vacation with any celebrity, who would you pick as your traveling companion and where would you go?
Take a wild guess...
What was your first car?
1973 VW Super Beetle, green with lots of cancer. I loved that car. True, it did try to kill me many times, but it was cute. I kind of wish I had kept it and fixed it up. I did learn a lot about cars though. I learned how to change my oil and spark plugs. I had to fill the brake fluid about once a week. Sometimes the gas pedal would come detached from the engine so I would have to pull over and fix it before I could keep driving. Anyone who was ever a passenger in my car practically passed out from the gas fumes.
One time, I was driving Elyse to her house, it was raining and we were coming up on a red light. I tried to stop, but instead we just skidded to the middle of the intersection and turned around before stopping. Thank goodness it was late at night so nobody was around to crash into.
Another time, Elyse and I were going somewhere, and again it was raining. The light turned red and I skidded through it. This time I made it all the way through the light and I got scared, pulled over and stopped right after we got through the intersection.
So apparently my car tried to kill Elyse as much as it tried to kill me.
